Wind
Breathing in
Wind
There I was, sitting under a tree which, judging by its diameter, was at least 150 years old. The day was warm, but a cool breeze kept it feeling comfortable. I closed my eyes, listening to birdsong and the hum of a lawnmower.
My friend the wind beckoned me. I wasn’t really wanting to go flying. Instead I tried something different. I breathed in some of the wind and felt it making my spirit feel lighter. Then the wind wrapped around me and gave me a hug. We stayed that way for a few seconds. In that short space of time, I could feel that the wind can be one of our great healers, but remembered that it has tremendous strength and must be respected.
Our physical world has been changing rapidly. We humans need to be more aware of, and in tune with, nature. We must always move forward, but with a different perspective. Less material and transactional, and more spiritual and generous.
